Jamshedpur Women’s University Organises 3rd Sports Day.
Jamshedpur: Jamshedpur Women’s University celebrated its third annual Sports Day at the Bistupur campus on Friday, creating a lively atmosphere as students and non-teaching staff took part in a variety of athletic and recreational events.
The programme was organised under the guidance of Dr. Sanatan Deep, Chairperson of the Sports and Cultural Department, along with his organising team, ensuring smooth coordination of all activities.
Vice-Chancellor Dr. Anjila Gupta conveyed her best wishes to the participants and congratulated the winners. She highlighted the importance of sports in building a well-rounded personality, stating that regular participation in games promotes discipline, teamwork, leadership, and mental strength alongside academic excellence.
The event was attended by several senior university officials, including Dean of Students’ Welfare Dr. Kishwar Ara, Registrar Dr. Salomi Kujur, and Proctor Dr. Sudhir Sahu. Non-teaching staff from both Bistupur and Sidhgora campuses actively joined the celebrations, adding to the enthusiasm of the day.
